What do you think influences a family’s high ratings in a photograph? Read the article and find out the results.
We used 12 photographs depicting families for the study. We asked groups of 400 people what they thought of the photos below. We asked them to rate each of them on a scale of 1 to 5.

Respondents rated families that show closeness, hugging, and being with their babies better.
The environment also plays a big role – as families in nature are rated higher – perhaps this is linked to a feeling of greater naturalness in relationships and the perception of feelings as genuine.
